More Big Dog – Defense Contractors Invent The Pack Mule
I’ve been scared of Big Dog for awhile. But finally, here’s a video of it interacting with the military. And what’s funny… they go on and on about how legs are better for traversing than tread or wheels. That this thing will carry a soldiers gear. And then I realized, it’s a pack mule. They reinvented the pack mule. They’re morons.
Although there are some creepy hints about it aiding in combat maneuvers, of course. And if you watch to the end, the tv personality smiles at the thought of bipedial robot soliders. What a world. Oh, also, if you read Danger Room, where I stumbled across this, you’d know that we’re gonna be in Afghanistan until around 2025. On that note, good night.
Gaza Offensive Was Planned Months In Advance
As soon as the mainstream media picked up on the recent bombings of Gaza, they announced that the attacks were retaliation against small rocket attacks by Hamas militants. But no, the attacks were planned months in advance. What a surprise.
Also in the “lol, I told you so” category, Obama gave a wonderful little speech about how Israel was right in blowing the hell out of their prison colony:
If somebody was sending rockets into my house where my two daughters sleep at night, I’m going to do everything in my power to stop that. And I would expect Israelis to do the same thing.”
The irony, of course, being that it is somehow okay for the Israelis to respond violently to being attacked, but when Palestinians do it, it’s terrorism.
The World’s Largest Prison, Gaza, Bombed Again
The Gaza Strip, home to more than a million Palestinians, has been under lockdown (siege) for the past 18 months. During that time, the necessities of life have been smuggled in from Egypt by way of tunnels. The Israeli army took care of that just now, by bombing the hell out of the area to collapse the tunnels. With US-supplied airplanes, of course. Nearly 300 Palestinians have been killed, with reports of 600-700 injuries. And, of course, now these people have no access to Egypt. Gaza is a prison.
Indymedia reports that the EU and Russia, among other countries, are calling this out as bullshit. Only the US and the UK remain standing behind Israel.
