Russian anarchists face 7 years in prison for $35 in damage

There’s the cliche “solidarity means attack,” but sometimes solidarity just means raising funds for lawyers and shit. According to an article posted to Infoshop News, three anarchists were arrested in the city of Barnaul, Russia, because they were the known anarchists in the town and someone defaced a banner, causing a total of about 25 euro in damages. They are being charged with “hooliganism by a group with political aims” or something to that effect, a charge that carries up to 7 years in prison. Anyhow, they need to raise about 3,000 euro to pay for lawyers so they don’t spend a ridiculous amount of time behind bars for some absolute bullshit. There is information about how to donate at the infoshop link above. (I admit I hope they get some kind of paypal or something to make it easier for international lazy people to donate.)
